Experience was good all the way through. John walked us through the entire process of replacing our old shower stall to what the new install would look like. The price was reasonable. The demo and install of the new shower was great. Daniel showed up when scheduled and definitely was knowledgeable and very professional. We could not have had a better experience. Update!  9/25/26 I loved how my shower originally looked. But now keeping it clean is so frustrating. I'm only supposed to use vinegar, but that is just simply not keeping my shower clean. I've been calling to have the caulk removed and replaced regularly. Today they were here and made me dry my shower before they began. I don't have any utility towels, so I had to use my new bathroom towels. Anyway, that was annoying. I also have chunks of mold coming out of my grab bars and he wouldn't remove the grab bars to clean the mold. He said it was a washer or something like that and he can't do anything about that. I also asked him about the yellowish brown caulk on the shower door. He said he can't do anything about that either. I have to buy some 409 and clean it myself. He said I would have to do a lot of scrubbing with a brush and the 409, to clean the caulk on the door. After he left, you can still see chunks of mold coming out of the grab bars. I'm highly dissatisfied with Mad City. I also have a few pits in the floor, where it retains water. I paid way too much money to have to call them regularly to clean my caulk, to have standing water and for mold to be visible 24/7/365 *********** This update was amazing. Everyone I deal with was courteous, friendly and professional. They took care to not damage my bathroom when they took out the old tub. The new shower is larger, gorgeous and extremely functional. Questionable business practices. I just pulled into my home and was actively unloading my groceries and baby and toddler from my car and moving everything into the house when a man wondering around around in the street approached me and told me we was from Mad City Windows in Sioux Falls. No vehicle, no business card, etc. The worst time to approach somebody. He started asking me about my windows when my hands were full of groceries and my baby. I put baby inside and come back out to talk to him. He takes up about 30-45 minutes on my time. He asks if I am married and if my husband is also a homeowner, I say yes. He said if we set up an estimate appointment, when the office calls me, to tell them to lie and that I am not married because according to their policy "all homeowners have to be present during an estimate". I told him my husband works odd hours so its either an estimate with me or nothing.  I am very capable of paying for my own windows, but they made it seem like I needed me husband present to even talk to me, it came across as sexist. Like a woman can't handle windows. So he convinces me to set up an estimate appointment. I immediately get spammed with calls and texts wanting to confirm the appointment. I select confirm appointment via text and confirm, but they still call me to confirm with me multiple times that the appointment is still on, and I of course say yes. Day of the appointment rolls around, I get a babysitter and clean the house getting ready for their estimator to come over. The appointment time was 6pm. 6pm rolls around...nothing. I wait 10-15 minutes thinking maybe he's late or something. The estimator NEVER SHOWED UP to our appointment. They went through all that trouble to try and get a sale and i did confirm the appointment multiple times. Then they don't show up. So I want to say a week or so after the missed appointment, I start getting calls from random numbers trying to reschedule our appointment with no explanation as to why they ghosted me. At this point, I am upset. They continue to call me each and every day from different numbers to a point I had to block them. They will harssass you with calls, they ask you to lie to get a sale, and they ghost your appointment. Why does their company go through this circus to not show up? I did need new windows, but their questionable sales and business tactics make me feel like they are a little scammy and untrustworthy. Go with somebody else. Save yourself the headache and the countless calls. Dont waste your time jumping through their hoops for them to ghost you.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I genuinely hoped I would never have to write this review. I would much rather update it after a positive resolution than document what has become an ongoing series of problems. Our latest issue is that the seam in our countertop is now bubbling and buckling. Following Mad City’s instructions, I submitted an online warranty request. Four days later, I still have not received any acknowledgment or response. After everything we’ve experienced, that lack of communication was the final straw. Unfortunately, this is only the latest chapter in a project that has involved repeated workmanship concerns, multiple service visits, and inconsistent communication. Our original replacement countertop contained multiple seams, even though our previous countertop had been seamless. We were never informed beforehand that the replacement would include seams, which was a significant disappointment. The seams themselves were rough to the touch and not level. Using a 24-inch level across the seam, it rocked and showed a bubble offset, confirming the surfaces were not flush. During one service visit, a Mad City supervisor acknowledged that this was unusual, stated it appeared to be a workmanship issue, and said he would review it with production. Mad City ultimately replaced the countertops. Unfortunately, the replacement countertops also had leveling issues. This time we were told the problem was our cabinets rather than the countertop installation. That explanation was difficult to understand because our previous countertops never had these issues, and if the cabinets required correction, that should have been identified and discussed before installing two different sets of countertops. We also experienced a squeaking countertop caused by movement in the overhang. The proposed repairs included hidden support brackets and other modifications that were never part of the original design. While that particular issue was eventually addressed, it added to an already lengthy repair process. Installation quality was also disappointing. The kitchen and surrounding work areas were not adequately protected before work began. We were not advised to cover nearby areas, dust spread throughout our home, and cleanup relied primarily on sweeping rather than proper vacuuming. We spent considerable time cleaning after the installers left. The most frustrating part of this experience has been the communication. Nearly every step required us to follow up ourselves. Progress often depended on us continuing to call, ask questions, and push for updates rather than receiving proactive communication. I do want to recognize that several employees who came to our home were courteous and genuinely seemed to want to help. My frustration is not with those individuals. It is with the company’s quality control, project management, communication, and follow-through. If you’re considering Mad City, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about countertop seams, leveling standards, installation quality, cleanup procedures, warranty response times, and how workmanship issues are handled if problems arise after installation. I still hope Mad City chooses to resolve these issues. If they do, I’ll gladly update this review to reflect that. At this point, however, I believe other homeowners deserve to know what our experience has been. Update: 9.23.26 We finally received a call. They came out and evaluted and agreed to replacements. We had one appointment scheduled for them to work and they cancelled. There were supposed to come and repair the work. They cancelled again for Monday 9.28.26. They did reschedule for Friday October 2nd.  I hope they keep that one or it will be the third cancel and reschedule n a row.

I should done a little more research about this company. Seemed good from I found but looking again, they have a current lawsuit status. It is not yet a class action but still not good to see(deceptive sales tactics, warranty issues just to name some.) For the price and the product we received, it seemed a bit pricey but not to a point it was egregious. The workmanship was a bit lacking with some windows not being flush and needing adjusted. I was told a lifetime warranty with no stipulations, so hopefully that is true. Not even 2 months after install and my sliding door is leaking(will need to check windows). Put in a request on the website because you can't do it over the phone. Over 48hrs later and NO ONE has returned my call. I get a number to call the corporate office and it goes to voice-mail, 2 times. Obsurd!

Nick did such a fantastic job removing our bathroom and placing the one! He completed the  work entirely by himself. Also was at our house from 8am until past 6pm ensuring the work was completed so he did not have to return another day and disrupt our made plans. He was super kind and respectful. I would not recommend using Mad City baths at this point in time… We decided to go with them for the ease of install and product choices, and the sales rep was very nice, and everything was looking good until we took the first shower. We had gallons of water flow from the second story of our house into our dining room and kitchen (which is right below the bathroom) and to the basement. There was water EVERYWHERE and took hours to clean up. For paying almost $15,000, the job should have been done right in the first place. Even at any price point it should have been done right, as this was a MAJOR leak and it was obviously ignored on the day of install. I’m not exactly sure what was wrong, but one of the pipes was not sealed properly and that is a huge mistake made by the installation crew. I noted a cosmetic issue, a long defect in the tub, which in my opinion should have not been used in an installation, or at least had us aware of the defect and had some compensation. And also a few other things that were not sealed properly but weren’t major issues like the leak. Also to mention, it was very difficult to get ahold of anyone to help us in this situation, had to call different numbers multiple times, and I think only because the severity of our situation we finally got an answer from someone. The following day, another plumber and a field manager came out to assess and fix the leak, but that does not help the damage that may have been caused by the water. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing, to have us trust a well known company to come in and do the job right, along with all of the turmoil that this caused from dealing with this situation. So yes, at this time I would not recommend them even though they have fixed the issue and with the price we paid for this shower. Where is our compensation for all the damage?

Called about a bathroom remodel in a newly purchased home early September 2026. The appointment was scheduled for 6pm. They reached out around 5:15 saying they could no longer make the appointment due to vehicle issues. That was fine; things happen. We already had another plumber coming later in the week so I told them I would reach out if we were interested in rescheduling. Calling this company was a mistake. The following day I was called 5 separate times asking me to reschedule. They always leave a voicemail. I answered two of those calls and again reiterated that I would reach back out if I wanted to reschedule. I was assured each time that was okay. Not very impressed with the quality of workmanship or products for our kitchen re-facing project. They've had to return several times to fix issues. Incorrect size for the lazy Susan, doors not closing completely leaving a gap due to bad hinges, laminate is peeling up on side of a cabinet, handles not arriving for a door, nails sticking through crown molding. They have returned to address these defects but in my opinion too many for the sales pitch stating the experience and reputation of their work. They got the windows in quick and fast and when it was really hot they put in 12 windows with 90° weather plus heat index the next day they came and finished the last six windows They clean up there mess explain step-by-step, what they were doing, asked our opinion on how we wanted the Trim around the windows on the outside you’re really nice And polite, they even worked around our animals. The one star is for Bob the tech that repaired our windows. He was great, made sure everything got fixed. Windows are nice however, had two main issues with this company. 1. Installation Issues Mad City promised trained, in-house installers who would leave our home clean upon completion. The installers who arrived were appeared to be subcontractors who struggled with the installation and made several errors: • Window screens were damaged and bent to the point of being non-operational with large gaps along the edges. • One window was installed incorrectly and would not slide open. • The area around the windows was left with dirty handprints on the wall. Additionally, the installers attempted to have me sign off on the completed job before allowing me to inspect the work. Had I not those issues would not have been resolved. On top of that it took three months for the windows and screens to be properly repaired. 2. Misleading Loan Information Sales associate included zero interest for 12 months on our original estimate. Noticed there was interest on our monthly statements and when I spoke with the loan company, I was informed that Mad City did not include this term in the loan paperwork filed on our behalf.

We’re very happy with the results. The salesman was very professional, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The installation team did a great job. They removed a garden tub, extended a half-wall to the ceiling and completely wrapped the extended wall in the same material as the shower walls. The one shortcoming is that the shower base is not as slip-resistant as we anticipated, so we still need to use a shower mat to feel safe. We thought that the cost of a new walk-in shower should be around $12,000 but the Madcity estimate was $18,000. We said no and the salesman came down to $16,000. Again we said no and the salesman came down to $14,000. I keep wondering if he would have came down to $12,000. After the work was done and it all looked very nice. Hi pressure sales.  I fell for it. 18 months no internet no payments is a lie. Installers seemed to do a good job but windows and wood work and carpet were left dirty.  Actually the windows weren't washed at all. One Installer brought 3 of his small children to our install. Im still waiting for them to come back to clean the windows. After getting price quotes from three other companies we chose Mad City. The new walk in shower is perfect. They explained everything, prices were much more affordable than anyone else. The installation crew were careful, they protected everything. Even cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely recommend using them if your thinking about updating your bathroom.

We recently had our shower updated by Mad City Baths. We couldn't be happier! Our shower took a little longer to do because the subfloor had to be replaced due to age and to get it straight. This was not due to anything that Mad City did, it was from years ago when we had a private contractor remodel our bathroom. It was all still finished in 1 day. I had a wonderful experience with Mad City while they removed an old bathtub and installed a new shower. We are extremely happy with the results! Salesman Eric R. Was professional and helped us to get the shower we wanted in our budget. Measure Tech Seth was very helpful and provided many helpful information. Installer Brandon was incredible to work with! Unfortunately, my windows had to be done twice! The first crew (they were fired) put them in completely wrong!!! The second crew did a wonderful job. Mad City backed every window and had them done the right way. I was very impressed with them. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Miles and Gavin and the crew for making sure that I was happy with them in the end.
